Half Term bliss

I am just about at my wit's end and it is only Tuesday, half way through Tuesday at that. My mind boggles sometimes (and overheats just like my old MG Midget) at Legend Jr's ability to wind me up like a rubber band.
His first words on waking up this morning were, 'I know you said I couldn't have anymore toys until my birthday, but can I get a new Ninjago Spinner today?" He has five of these pieces of crap  technological wonders already, so why he would need another one is beyond my meagre comprehension.
"I said no last night and the answer to your question is still no. This is not negotiable."
"Everything is negotiable Dad. Even you can work that out."

It is a good job he was out of reach, because if I had connected with the back of my hand, I would be pulling bits of small boy out of the plaster work. Instead, my hand made a muffled whumpf sort of sound as it hit the nearest pillow pet which sent my coffee cup and its contents across the wall behind the bed.

I think I'd better call the Child Protection Agency now and have them lock me up for the rest of the week, otherwise I may not be able to stop myself from strangling the little sod darling boy.

  4. My daughter is twelve. She used to be this sweet voiced little charmer. Now, she is just beginning to get mouthy. I tell myself that I need to rein her in since a cheeky five year old is cute. A cheeky twelve year old is annoying.

    I'm working on it.

    1. My son is developing a mouth the size of the Nile Delta. Fortunately, he doesn't use it at school, only at home.
